Responsive Website // Branding

This project was the second of three peer graded projects through the Google Coursera UX Design professional certificate course. The goal of this fictional project was to create a user flow for a responsive website for a florist. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I always like to take on a challenge. I chose my flow to be a BYO bouquet flow for brides. My user is the DIY bride who wants to be able to have more control over their wedding.

RESPONSIVE WEBSITE

Take a walk through the website design. Live Adobe XD prototype below.

The main user goal is to take the BYO flow and request a quote. The hierarchy of the design supports this goal with the BYO block just after the hero image. The actual BYO process would require a more in depth process in development, but I tried to represent the idea as best as possible. Within the web design there are two other smaller flows with the “Wedding Themes” and “Special Occasion” sections. Since this project was more desktop forward, I did not complete a full flow on mobile, but I did create a few mobile pages to represent the responsiveness. The mobile prototype can be accessed through a link in the footer.

TAKEAWAYS

Since I have designed a few live websites, I wanted to focus on learning Adobe XD and fine tuning my design process as if it were for a real client. I also wanted to practice representing the user interaction with prototyping. I’m excited to have this program knowledge in my arsenal and implement it in my day-to-day work.
